When I saw Jaqui Saldana's nursery for her daughter featured on A Beautiful Mess blog, I knew I wanted to share it here with you guys. I love how happy and colorful it is! So let's get crackin' and break down what makes this room work so great.
First off, is the neutral canvas that Jaqui built off of. Beige often gets a bad rap but it works great in this room and allows Jaqui to bring loads of fun color into the room through furniture and accessories. Two other colors we see a lot of and that act as accents in this room are pink and green. I kind of love how the color palette is still girly but brighter hues than you normally see in a nursery.
And speaking of brighter hues, what about that green crib? I love how it stands out against the neutral wall.
The art above the crib is a great statement piece and is soft and beautiful. When it comes to art, a lot of times "go big or go home" is your best motto. Every room should have at least one focal point, and the art and the crib make for a strong one in this room.
The rug is also an incredible statement with loads of fun color. I'd like to take it out of this picture and put it in my living room or bedroom!
Jaqui also brought interest into the room through fun and colorful textiles in blankets and pillows, fun wall art, and I love those pom poms draped around the top of the teepee.
The key to this awesome space is the neutral canvas that allows loads of fun color to be brought in giving this room it's happy and energetic feel.
