Trending: Not Your Grandma's Wallpaper

Have you noticed how wallpaper has made a come back in a big way? If you'd asked me a couple of years ago, if I'd consider putting wallpaper in my house, I probably would have said, "Ew, no.," but now there are so many patterns that look like works of art that I can't wait to try it out. Granted, the commitment is a little scarier than paint, but there are a ton of temporary options available today if you're a commitment phobe like me. Below are some of my favorites (temporary and permanent) that I've seen lately, and a list of resources for you to check out if you're interested in giving wallpaper a go.

I love the whimsy of this bird wallpaper by Hygge & West and I'm seriously considering it for an accent wall in the kitchen. I also love it on the ceiling in a kids room.

This paper by De Gourney might be leaning closer towards your grandmother's, but I love it's timeless and classic beauty.

I love the big, bold brush strokes and the bluish blacks of this Emma Hayes wallpaper.
