I've shared several times with you guys how it seems God's been making a way, or clearing a path as it seems, for us since before we even decided to pack up and move to Greenville, SC just seven short months after purchasing our first home.
Last week I shared how He provided not just a job for me, but one related to design and that I absolutely love! (Read about it here.)This week I wanted to share how He provided a place for us to live. I haven't really shared this cute little house with you guys because we decided not to attempt any projects here and haven't done that much to decorate. But this little house is a part of our story in more ways than one, and in case you ever wondered, life really does come full circle sometimes.
Let's back up 3 years ago. We weren't married yet, but engaged and just a couple of months away from saying the big "I do's." Kendall was working a couple of part time jobs and going to school, and I was working in the banking industry and living in this house. Yup, this exact little house.
We lived it in a couple of months after we were married until moving to Charlotte, after which we passed it off to a couple of our college friends who were dating/engaged. Well they got married and lived in the house for awhile, and then, yup, you guessed it, they bought a house right around the time we were moving and passed the house back off to us.
We helped them move their stuff out and they helped us move ours in the exact same day. God's timing is so perfect. The owner allowed us to pay the same rent we'd been paying three years ago and let us stay on a month to month lease as well as bring our pooch, which was against his rules. If all of that is not God's hand providing, I don't know what is.
The house is cute, but could use some love and freshening up. Although, I've wanted to dive in, I wanted a new home more, so we saved our pennies for that.
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know that we're under contract for a new home and I couldn't be more excited. It's an 1897 Queen Ann Victorian, and is literally a life long dream come true of living in an old home. After it's all signed, sealed, and delivered, I'll be sharing that story with you so stay tuned! And if you haven't already, sign up for our email newsletter at the end of this post, so you're sure not to miss it
