Porcelain Wood Tile Inspiration

Wednesday I shared this bathroom that had a beautiful herringbone wood floor. Although I love the look of wood floors in the bathroom, they aren't the most practical because of moisture and potential water damage from overflowing toilets, showers, and kiddos who close sink stoppers and leave the water running while the family goes to church (hello, little brother).

Today, I thought it'd be fun to share some photos where wood looking tile is used in case you might want to consider it for your home as an alternative to actual wood if you love that wood floor look. I've even noticed Chip and Joanna Gaines using it in several of the bathroom they remodel on their hit show, Fixer Upper.

This example is by Tracy of Creative Homebody and is probably my favorite. It looks so real and her bathroom makeover is just beautiful.

And last, but not least, is this beautiful bathroom by one of my favorite bloggers, Lindsay, of The White Buffalo Styling Co. I love how the black clawfoot tub stands out against the tile.

What to you think of the porcelain wood tile? Yay or nay? I'd love to hear from you in the comments!

Trending: Cement Tiles

Have you noticed the cement tile trend that's been going on the past few months? I think I might be in love with it. I've pretty much already planned where I can use it in the new house and even think I know which patterns I want.

And also I might need counseling because this kind of stuff is all I think about all day. I just can't help it.

It's beautiful used as bathroom or kitchen flooring, in showers, as a backsplash, around a fireplace. or in a mudroom. A lot of times the patterns are bold and graphic. I like a lot of the black and white ones or the blue and white ones because of their longevity in design, but there are some really beautiful colorful and exotic patterns available if you're a brave soul and don't mind taking a chance.

The Cement Tile Shop is a retailer that you'll see mentioned a lot on Pinterest and blogs, but I was happy to see that Home Depot also had some really pretty and more affordable options that I'll definitely be checking out.

Let me know what you think of the cement tile look in the comments below! Yay or nay?
